Curriculum Vita

NI Fujian, Ph.D., Professor. He joined Transportation College of Southeast University in April, 1995. He received his Ph.D. degree, M.S. and B.S. degrees from Southeast University in Nanjing, China. In 1997, he was sent to Japan by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China and worked in Nagaoka University of Technology doing postdoctoral research until 1999. After that he came back to Southeast University and engaged himself in teaching and researching.

Cold In-Place Recycling Technology of Pavement Surface Layer. This technology has been applied in six expressways in Jiangsu Province for more than two years and all of the pavements treated by this technology have acquired good performance. A systemic guideline for the cold in-place recycling technology has been established, including material property indexes, construction technology and quality control.etc. This achievement has received great honor from the industry.

High Strength Modified Asphalt Mixture with Good Rutting Resistance Performance. This achievement has been applied in several mountainous and heavy load expressways. Both lab tests and actual engineering project show that, the high strength modified asphalt concrete has good performance in strength and stability under high temperature, and can satisfy the traffic and environment condition in China. Moreover, the application of the high strength modified asphalt mixture can effectively reduce the rutting distress and increase the service life of pavement.  Pavement Management System. Based on network technology, the pavement management system was established. In this system, advanced software building and developing techniques was been used, and several information modules has been developed. By this system, pavement Management Company can get accurate and real-time information about the pavement, to make optimal maintenance strategy through scientific analysis and estimation. This system makes pavement management get a higher level and receive higher effectiveness.

Computational Mechanics of Pavement Structure
