Tang Junyou , male, born in August 1975, Yuexi County Anhui Province, School of Transportation, Southeast University, Associate Professor , Ph.D., Master Instructor. He is currently director of the Institute of Geographic Information Engineering and also a member of China Institute of Surveying and Mapping.
He got a bachelor's degree in 1997 from Department of Geography, Anhui Normal University and a master's degree in 2000 from College of Land Resources and Tourism, Anhui Normal University.From July 2000 to January 2001, he studied at the Department of Foreign Languages , University of Science and Technology of China.He got his Ph.D. in June 2003 from Nanjing Institute of Geography and Limnology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. After that, He worked at School of Transportation, Southeast University. He did some research worked at the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, University of Florida as a visiting scholar from 2011 to 2012.
His research Interests are GIS-T and urban spatial analysis, Virtual Reality, Geographic Information System design and Applications of Remote Sensing. He currently chaired and participated in three the National Natural Science Foundation of China Projects and two the Eleventh Five-Year National Science and Technology Support Program. More than ten research projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Chinese Academy of Sciences Knowledge Innovation Project, Jiangsu Provincial Natural Science Foundation and other national and provincial Projects were accomplished and more than ten papers and books were published in the domestic and international core journals.
