Major Engineering Projects & Research Fund

The School has conducted 266 national major research projects, including National Major Basic Research Program 973, National High-Tech R&D Program 863, National Sci-Tech Support Plan to Tackle Key Difficulties and National Science Foundation of China. The School is also active in a series of major engineering projects in China, e.g. Smooth Traffic Project (Leading Institute), Expressway, Yangtze River Bridge, Metro projects, National Road Traffic Safety Technology Action Plan, etc. The achievements include 12 National Scientific and Technological ProgressAwards, 1 National Technological Invention Award, over 150 scientific and technological progress awards at provincial and ministerial levels, with the research funding of nearly 0.6 billion RMB in the recent five years.

The School has achieved 11 National Scientific and Technological Progress Awards (ranking 1st in all schools in SEU and also in all transportation colleges and universities). 1 National Technological Invention Award and over 100 scientific and technological progress awards at provincial and ministerial levels.



Monagraphs, Papers & Patents

Since 2000, the School of Transportation has published a total of over 200 monographs. The School of Transportation has published more than 2000 papers during the last five years, over 1300 of which have been indexed by SSCI/SCI and EI,acquired 580 licensed patents, including 469 patents for invention, 51 patents for utility models, and 60 software copyrights. The average annual number of patents has exceeded 130 in the recent three years.
