Dr. Jian Lu is a professor in School of Transportation, Southeast University and he is also the vice dean of School of Transportation. He is the middle-aged young academic leader of Jiangsu Province. Dr. Jian Lu has elected to the New Century Excellent Talents Support Plan of Ministry of Education, and 333 high-level talent project of Jiangsu Province. He has obtained the honor of excellent talent of young scientific and technological by Ministry of Transportation in China. Moreover, he has obtained the honor of new Long March and outstanding scientific and technological workers of Jiangsu Province, etc.
Currently, He serves as an expert of Traffic Management Committee of Ministry of Public Security, member of Science and Technology Award evaluation committee of Ministry of Public Security. He is also the deputy secretary of National Road Traffic Management Engineering Technology Research Center. Dr. Jian Lu serves as member of the Advisory Committee for National Intelligent Transportation Industry Innovation Alliance, and member of Anhui Provincial Government Expert Group on Road Traffic Safety.
Dr. Jian Lu's major research interests include traffic management, transport planning, traffic safety and intelligent transportation systems and so on.
In recent years, he has completed or ongoing launch the research projects on intelligent transportation, traffic management, transport planning, traffic safety and other areas. The research programs include 10 national research projects, 7 Provincial and ministerial research projects, more than 50 local government consulting projects.
He has obtained 3 National Science and Technology Progress Award, 7 provincial science and technology award, published more than 60 papers and 3 monographs. He has also obtained 12 national invention patents.
