Zhendong Qian，Professor, Ph.D Advisor，vice-president of the ITS Research Center(ITS Engineering Research Center of the Ministry of Education). She was born in Tongzhou, Jiangsu Provice in December, 1969. She got her bachelor degree in Aircraft Design Engineering in 1990, master degree in Solid Mechanics in 1995, and doctorate degree in Solid Mechanics in 1998 from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. She was a post-doctorate researcher in the Transportation College at the Southeast University from May. 1998 to Jan. 2000. After that, she was working as an Associate Professor in ITS Research Center at the Southeast University, she has been studied in Civil Engineering School of Ibaraki University as a senior visiting scholar in 2005. she was oppointed as Professor and Ph.D Advisor in 2005. Now she is in the Second Level of the 333 High Level Talent Training Program of Jiangsu Province, the Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University managed by the Ministry of Education, and Young Distinguished Professor of Southeast University.
Zhendong Qian’s research areaes include Design and Rehabilitation Main Technique of Bridge Deck Pavement, New Pavement Material and Structure, Safety Monitor of Transportation Infrastructure, Urban Transportation and Subway Transportation Related Field. She has received over 40 research grants, sponsored by agencies including the National Natural Science foundation of China, the Ministry of Science and Technology through the National Key Technology R&D Program, the 863 Program，the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Transport, and the Ministry of Railways. In addition, she also received grants for supporting over 10 national key bridge pavement projects and over 10 local engineering research programs. Meanwhile, she is the compiler member of a National Standard; applies 11 national patents and 3 of them were authorized; publishes over 100 papers, 75 of which were indexed by SCI and EI.
