Journal "Multimodal Transportation (MULTRA)" founded by our school has been indexed in the SCOPUS database

The journal Multimodal Transportation (MULTRA), founded by school of transportation, has been indexed in the SCOPUS database, according to a notification received by the editorial department on July 28, 2023. The journal has passed the evaluation of the Content Selection & Advisory Board (CSAB) and has been officially included in the SCOPUS database. Based on the numerous excellent papers published, it is estimated that the journal will receive its first impact factor (>6) in 2024, indicating further recognition from the international academic and journal community in terms of academic quality, impact, internationalization, and standardization.


MULTRA was founded on October 13, 2021, sponsored by School of Transportation at Southeast University, and published and distributed overseas by Elsevier. Southeast University has a complete and outstanding discipline group in transportation studies in China, as well as several important provincial and ministerial-level scientific research platforms. It has top-notch research strength in the field of transportation engineering and has extensive influence in the academic community. The founding co-editors-in-chief are Professor Liu Pan, Executive Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Southeast University, and Professor Meng Qiang, former editor-in-chief of Transportation Research Part E. The executive editor-in-chief is Professor Liu Zhiyuan, and the deputy editors-in-chief are Professor Zhang Junyi, Professor Qu Xiaobo, and Professor Zhou Xuesong, who is also the deputy editor-in-chief of Transportation Research Part C. The editorial board has a total of 36 members, including 22 international members from 15 countries/regions.



Since its inception, the journal Multimodal Transportation (MULTRA) has received over 200 submissions from more than 20 countries and regions. As of June 2023, 47 review and research papers have been published, with a total of 35,716 downloads. These papers have been cited nearly 300 times by scholars from over 20 countries and regions, including top transportation journals such as Transportation Science, Transportation Research, IEEE Trans on ITS, as well as interdisciplinary journals such as Sustainable Cities and Society.
