ZHAO De


About

Dr. De Zhao is an associated Professor at the School of Transportation at Southeast University since December 2019. He obtained his Ph.D degree from Southeast University at the School of Transportation in 2016. During his Ph.D studies, he spent one year as a joint Ph.D. student at the University of Pennsylvania from 2014 to 2015. After that, he worked as a research fellow at the University of Singapore from 2017 to 2019.Dr. Zhao’s research areas include public transit evaluation, simulation of urban transportation systems, big data and modeling, and machine learning. He has been the leading PI of several high-level research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Key R&D Program, etc. He has published more than ten peer-reviewed papers at the top SCI/SSCI journals, including Transportation Research Part A/B/C/D, Transportation, IEEE ITS Magazine, etc.
