Delegation's Attending TRB's 97th Annual Meeting from School of Transportation

A delegation joined by teachers and students from School of Transportation attended TRB's 97th Annual Meeting held in Washington, D.C., USA during January 7th to 11th, 2018. There are 75 papers accepted by the conference board and over 90 teachers and students attending this annual meeting, which tops the list of participant colleges and universities. Showing specialties of scholars of School of Transportation to the entire world, many teachers and students made paper and poster presentations in every parallel sessions. Moreover, School of Transportation also held , in Washington Convention Center, 2018’s Reception and Talent Introduction Talkfest arousing strong repercussions.

TRB's Annual Meeting is held in every January in Washington, D.C., USA. TRB's Annual Meeting, after development for almost a century, has already become the best known, largest-scale and largest-number participating academic event in in the field of international transportation research. There were more than 13,000 scholars and engineers attending this annual meeting. So far, TRB's Annual Meeting has already been not only an exhibition window of School of Transportation but also a significant opportunity to enhance the international reputation of School of Transportation and boost the internationalization of higher education.

Reception and Talent Introduction Talkfest of School of Transportation starts from 2016, making full use of the platform provided by TRB's Annual Meeting to deepen the communication among prestigious universities from home and abroad and take the initiative for recruit high-level overseas talents. The 2018’s Reception of School of Transportation attracted more than 600 scholars from home and abroad including Prof. Tarek Sayed, Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering and Columbia University Professor, Prof. Said Easa, Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering and other internationally recognized scholars in the field. Prof. Liu Pan, Dean of School of Transportation, communicated deeply with those overseas talents being interested in working for School of Transportation and encouraged those talents from home and abroad to work and make a contribution for School of Transportation.
