On 14th December, 2018, WANG Yueping, the vice president of CCCC Xiongan Investment Company Limited was invited to deliver a lecture titled The Exploration and Practice of Green and Intelligent Transport at Xiongan in JiuLongHu campus，Southeast University. The Party secretary of School of Transportation, QIN Xia, vice dean of School of Transportation, CHENG Jianchuan and some professionals attended the lecture.
Vice president Wang started from the development orientation and goal of transportation in Xiongan, a new national development zone adjacent to Beijing, then he pointed out a series of problems in transport sector we are facing now. This leads to the thinking about future transport: the green and intelligent transportation, even with pilotless automobile, reasonable structure layout of urban roads, traffic operation and management mode, parking facilities, public transportation, etc. Specially, he displayed the undergoing practices such as City Exchange Center(CEC) that provoked arguments first and was accepted later. At last, he emphasized that all transport works should be completed following the human-centered principle.
This lecture provided a planform for effective communications about the new transport engineering concepts as well as practices and warmly welcomed by the graduate students.
