Professor Wang Wei won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award for the Fifth Time

On January 8, the 2018 National Science and Technology Awards Conference was held in Beijing. Southeast University has won 7 awards, including 5 awards as the first completion unit. Our school won 2 second prizes of the National Natural Science Award, 2 second prizes of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, and 1 second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award Special Project. As the first completion unit, the number of universal project awards ranks sixth in the nation's universities. The total number of awards ranked seventh in the nation's universities and first in Jiangsu.

The project named City Multi-Mode Public Transport Network Collaborative Design and Key Technologies and Applications of Intelligent Services”, which is led by Professor Wang Wei, won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award. This is the fifth time that Professor Wang Wei has won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award since 2002, 2003, 2007 and 2012. His team won the second prize of Science and Technology Progress for the fourth time with Southeast University as the first completion unit.

  

The project has developed multi-mode bus network supply and demand identification and collaborative design, multi-mode public transport network co-simulation and platform construction, multi-mode ground bus green wave coordinated control, multi-mode public transport system intelligent services and other technologies, forming a cross-sectoral, cross-industry technology and system equipment for bus system, which have realized technological breakthroughs such as coordinated design, coordinated control and intelligent services of urban multi-mode public transport networks.

  

Up to now, the School of Transportation of Southeast University has won 13 national science and technology progress awards and 1 national technology invention award. It has won the number of national science and technology progress awards and ranks first among national transportation universities.
