On April 27, 2019, the 2019 Joint Workshop on Sustainable Transportation Development hosted by the School of Transportation of Southeast University was held in the Transportation Building , Jiulonghu Campus, Southeast University. More than 80 teachers and students from Feng Chia University, Tamkang University, Singapore University of Social Science, Tongji University and Southeast University participated in the workshop. The opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Cheng Jianchuan, vice dean of the School of Transportation, Southeast University. He warmly welcomed the participants and briefly introduced the guests, including the six newly appointed department chairs of the School of Transportation and two short-term hired professors, Yunlong Zhang (Texas A&M) and Yueyue Fan(UC Davis).

Then, Professor Ye Zhirui, Director of International Cooperation Department, Southeast University, warmly welcomed the arrival of the participants on behalf of the university and briefly introduced the University, the School and hoped the workshop a big success.
Professor Liang-Tay Lin, Dean of College of Construction and Development, Feng Chia University, Associate Professor Yuh-Horng Wen, Department of Transportation Management, Tamkang University, Dr. Hsieh Cheng-Hsien, Singapore University of Social Science, and Professor Ma Wanjing, vice dean of College of Transportation Engineering, Tongji University, delivered speeches respectively.
Subsequently, the Keynote Speech part was also brilliant. Professor Ming-shan Yeh, Feng Chia University, brought the identification analysis of “1021 Puyuma Accident”. Associate Professor Yuh-Horng Wen, Tamkang University, presented the research achievements of Department of Transportation Management, Tamkang University. Professor Ma Wanjing, Tongji University, gave a keynote speech on “Traffic Control under the Environment of Vehicles and Roads”. Professor Lee Pui Mun, Singapore University of Social Science, gave a speech entitled “Smart Nation Related Actions”. Professor Liu Zhiyuan, Southeast University, gave a keynote speech on “Traffic Analysis of Urban Traffic Network with Multiple Big Data”.
In the morning and afternoon after the opening ceremony, the workshop held 11 sessions in 4 meeting rooms. 49 reporters from five universities delivered the oral presentations, and achieved good results. As a platform for academic exchange and sharing, it promoted the exchange of academic achievements between teachers and students.

At the closing ceremony of the workshop, five universities exchanged their gifts respectively. Later, Professor Cheng Jianchuan and the organizer of the next workshop, Chair Yuh-Horng Wen, Department of Transportation Management, Tamkang University, held the handover ceremony.
After the workshop, the participants visited the University History Museum, the Six-Dynasty Pine(Cypress) and other places in Sipailou Campus before the reception dinner. The 2019 Joint Workshop on Sustainable Transportation Development had acquired a complete success.
