On the morning of October 26, the special ideological and political course for outstanding alumni in the four fold position of Southeast University was held in Jiao Tingbiao Hall of Jiulonghu campus. Liu Xiaodong, deputy chief engineer of CCCC highway planning and Design Institute Co., Ltd., chief designer of Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge Island tunnel project, and Secretary of the Party committee of 8511 Institute of China Aerospace Science and Technology Group Li Zhijian and Zhu Jian, chief scientist of China Electronic Technology Group, two alumni of Dongda returned to their alma mater, and made a sharing report based on their four fold post experience, patriotic feelings for the country and the growth of leading talents.
Liu Xiaodong, an alumnus, shared with his team the process of overcoming difficulties in the construction of Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge. There are 4 km immersed tunnel of Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge with a buried depth of 22 meters and a load of 5 times more than that of shallow immersed tunnel. How to ensure that the immersed tunnel is 100% watertight? This problem has troubled Liu Xiaodong and his team for nearly a year.
