Dr. Zhirui Ye is a Professor in the School of Transportation at Southeast University (SEU). He isthe deputy director of the Jiangsu Key Lab of Urban ITS. His research interestsinclude Intelligent Transportation Systems related to public transportation,big data, and connected vehicles, as well as traffic safety analysis andevaluation. Dr. Ye obtained his Ph.D. degree in Transportation Engineering fromTexas A&M University, and M.S. in and B.S. degrees from SoutheastUniversity. He joined the Western Transportation Institute at Montana StateUniversity in 2007 as Research Scientist. He was the principal investigator onseveral projects sponsored by FHWA (Federal Highway Administration), NCHRP(National Cooperative Highway Research Program), state DOTs (Departments of Transportation)and local agencies. He authored 11 research reports, including a NCHRP report.Dr. Ye joined the transportation program at SEU in 2011. He has been involvedin several national and provincial projects sponsored by the National High-techProgram project, National Science Foundation of China, etc. Dr. Ye is (was) amember of the TRB, ITE, and ASCE. He was awarded National “Thousand YoungTalents Program” and Jiangsu Provincial “Innovation and Entrepreneurship”Program.
