On 26th of August, the Menghai front river bridge of Shenzhen Qianhai was officially open to ttraffic, co-designed by Southeast University Transportation Design Institute and MARC MIMRAM INGENIERIE S.A of France.
The Menghai bridge is a key tunnel connecting Shenzhen Qianhai-Hong Kong Commercial Zone and Baoan Central Zone. Its design concept is "protecting wings", aiming to create a multi functional and elegant city bridge, creating a continuous and pleasant urban transport space.
The project started in 2015 and the design team from SEU has overcome tremendous difficulties and their work was highly praised. Now the bridge serves Shenzhen people and shows the spirit of SEU.
