Personal Information
Dr. Hongjiang Li is a Professor atthe Institute of Geotechnical Engineering of the School of Transportation, Southeast University (SEU), China. He received his Ph.D. degree in geotechnical engineering from SEU and had a visiting research experience at COFS, the University of Western Australia. After working as a postdoctoral fellow at Tokyo Institute of Technology, Hongjiangmoved back to Nanjing, China in 2023.
His research interests and major technical contributions have been in the areas of pile foundations, deep excavations, offshore geotechnics, and in-situ testing. He has published more than 50 journal/conference papers and led several research grants/projects including two grants from NSFC and JSPS.
Dr. Li is the recipient of the NSFC Excellent Young Scientists Fund Program and the recipient of the JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship. He is a member of Pile Foundation Committee of Chinese Institute of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering, an international member of Japanese Geotechnical Society, and a member of Architectural Institute of Japan. He also served on young editorial boards of International Journal of Mining Science and Technology and the Journal of Earthquake Engineering and Resilience.
