On March 25, 2025, Elsevier officially released the 2024 Highly Cited Chinese Researchers list. A total of 9 faculty members from our school were named to the list, with 8 from the Transportation Engineering discipline and 1 from Civil Engineering.

Adopting a methodology developed by Shanghai Ranking Consultancy, it systematically showcases the talent distribution landscape in China's scientific research ecosystem and accurately reflects the core competitiveness of universities and research institutions in critical technological fields. While comprehensively presenting cutting-edge advancements in Chinese science and technology, the list emphasizes disciplinary development and construction, striving to empower academia to seize research opportunities and drive technological and societal progress.
This year's list features 6,388 scholars from 547 institutions, spanning 10 major disciplinary categories and 83 first-level disciplines as classified by China's Ministry of Education. Southeast University secured 91 honorees in total, with 9 of these distinguished scholars affiliated with our school.
