Key Laboratory of Transportation Industry - “Risk Management of Transportation Infrastructure”

The Key Laboratory of Transportation Industry - “Risk Management of Transportation Infrastructure” aims to control the risks and guarantee the safe operations of transportation infrastructures, and to implement the scientific development strategy of “integrated, smart, green and safe transportation” that is proposed by the Department of Transportation of China. The Laboratory strives to improve the innovation in and application of such four major research areas as the identification and evaluation of the risks of transportation infrastructures, techniques for identifying, predicting, and treating the deteriorations of transportation infrastructures, simulation of the deteriorations of transportation infrastructures, as well as the techniques that aid in decision making and risk management. The Laboratory also provides for a platform for talents cultivation in the area of transportation infrastructure risk management.


Jiangsu Key Laboratory of Urban ITS

The Jiangsu Key Laboratory of Urban ITS was approved by the Science and Technology Department of Jiangsu Province in 2013. Supported by the national key discipline of Transportation Engineering, the Laboratory comprises a number of specialized teams in various research areas, including transportation system simulation, intelligent optimization of urban transportation systems, intelligent construction, management, and maintenance of urban transportation infrastructures, traffic information processing, intelligent public transit system, and intelligent traffic control system, as well as the intelligent urban roadway safety management technologies. Focusing on the improvement of the overall efficiency of urban transportation systems, the Laboratory aims at improving the ability of innovation, cultivating talents and industrial achievements in the field of intelligent transportation of Jiangsu Province. The Laboratory will also provide theoretical and technological support for the development of safe, efficient, cost-effective and environmentally friendly modern urban transportation systems. 


Jiangsu Key Laboratory of Urban Underground Engineering and Environmental Safety

Jiangsu Key Laboratory of Urban Underground Engineering and Environmental Safety (JKL-UUEES) focuses on the construction and management technology of underground engineering and subway transportation under the geological environments of Jiangsu province. The research topics of JKL-UUEES are: (1) Identification and evaluation of geological environmental disaster in underground engineering; (2) Prevention technology of environmental disaster during underground construction; (3) Safety and prevention technology during subway operation; (4) Long-term performance and countermeasures of underground structures under complex and sensitive environment; (5) Performance monitoring and management platform of underground infrastructures.


The Jiangsu Provincial Key Laboratory of Transportation Planning and Management

Southeast University Laboratory of Transportation Planning and Management was approved as the Jiangsu Provincial key laboratory in the year of 2002. Supported by the national key discipline of Transportation Planning and Management, which comprises a number of specialized teams in various research areas, includingTraffic Simulation , Traffic Signal Control, Traffic Safety, Traffic Geographic Information System, as well as Traffic Software Development. It does research on a broad spectrum of Key Technology for Modern Transportation System Planning and Management, Supports for Sustainable Development of Traffic System Technology, Traffic Geographic Information System and Spatial Data Processing Technology, Traffic Analysis Software—TranStar. The laboratory has played an important role in a number of National 973 Program projects, National 863 Program projects, National Ninth Five-Year Plan, Tenth Five-Year Plan, Eleventh Five-Year Plan Key Scientific and Technological Research (Support) Program, Provincial Scientific Research Project. It also has a positive effect on a large number of engineering research projects and the cultivation of innovative talents.
